Marco Severini is born in 1965 in Rome.

After completing his classical studies, he dedicates himself completely to learning more expressive techniques that will allow him to express his innate passion for the figurative arts and Sculpture in particular.

In 1992, he graduates as a Ceramist at the "Nicola Zabaglia" School of Ornamental Arts of the City of Rome. In 1997, he obtains a Degree in Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, continuing to frequent artisan workshops and art studios, to form that baggage of technical and human experience that is fundamental in the growth of an artist.

From 1991 onwards, he created installations and held solo and group exhibitions throughout Italy, and his works are included in numerous private collections.

In 2001 he opens the Rilievi Contemporary Art exhibition space in Rome, where he exhibites his works. Direct contact with the public is the goal. The work lives, it exists in relation to the viewer and the interactive artist-public dialogue thus finds fulfillment without further filters. Alongside the exhibition of his own works, he periodically presents other artists and offers applied arts courses open to everybody. The various themes explored, from figurative to abstract to digital art, reflect his eclectic and experimental spirit. The classical materials used, wood, clay, iron, plaster, cement, bronze, or the more innovative ones such as computers and synthetic resins, employed with the taste and care of the craftsman, find a single thread in the reading of the works, marked by the need for inner research, an indispensable key to turn our gaze outwards, to the world in which we live, to the reality of everyday life, a mirror to all of us.

To seek, to create, to live, to share the emotions of one's soul is the drive that is transmitted to matter.

This is the work of Marco Severini, an artist experiencer of the deepest paths, of emotions sublimated in his nudes, in search of the nature of man, of the passions, revealed in his abstract works.
